Weight Watchers? Struggling with confidence.

I know, I know - this topic has been touched on over and over again. I was successful on the plan with meetings years ago. I never got too serious about Online. I love MFP and really want to believe I can be successful on it, but I think I struggle with the need of structure. At the same time, I have no desire to pay for something to teach their standardized plan. I want to be able to make these changes on my own and be confident in the fact that I'm doing it the RIGHT way. Anyone feel like this? Anyone been here and overcome it? Any advice? At all?

I'm in the same boat as you. I was successful earlier this summer with mfp and then randomly gave up and gained the weight back. So here I am back again, ready to give it another shot. It is between this and weight watchers. Like you, I'm not too keen on spending the $$$ for something that I can find for free on mfp. I guess this is not advice at all, just sayin I feel the same way.0

I'll say one thing: you have to want this and commit to this. I was on Weight Watchers from 2008-2012 (though on and off), but I didn't like some things about Points Plus like 0 points for fruits and vegetables. You also have to commit to this and be accountable like Weight Watchers.
Also, why pay $20 a week to go to a place when I can just use my phone and track things?0 -
I am doing WW but doing simply filling - I love it. So much more satisfied than counting points. Decided to do MFP yesterday, can doing simply filling on MFP for free! I am lifetime with WW but over 8 pounds. Feel free to send me a friend request if you would like.0

Its really the same thing. I am eating the same foods I ate with weight watchers and logging it like I did with weight watchers. Same thing without the cost. Some people need the meetings and accountability of weight watchers.0

I am one of those that need the accountability of weight watchers. I don't follow the points and I use MFP to count calories. I'm down 25 lbs in about 7 weeks or so. I'm hoping to quit WW within the next month or so. But I've had weight problems most of my life. Knowing I'm weighing in every Tuesday keeps me focused.0
