FitBit vs. Jawbone

Hi MFPers,

With the holidays approaching I'm considering asking for a Fitness tracker for Xmas. Currently I'm looking at FitBit Force, FitBit Flex, or JawBone Up.

I'd be interested in hearing your opinions of the three and which one to go with and why (if any).

Many thanks!

I have a Fitbit Zip and I really like it but am considering get a Force because it has a clock function so it would double as a watch. To me that's the only plus for it over the others. The Zip does give the time if you tap it to the right screen but since I wear it clipped to my bra it's not very handy for looking at the time!

Thanks for your feedback! I typically don't do a lot of cardio, I'm into heavy lifting. However, I do have a desk job where I sit 9 hours a day and then commute almost 40 min each way. I just want to make sure I am getting up during the same and doing laps. I thought the Force would be cool because it shows stairs climbed (I make it a point to take the stairs at work). I'd also be really interested in the sleep tracking.

I have a Jawbone UP and I love it. It's very comfortable, accurate and I think it's personally better looking than the others I've seen. The app is also really cool and full of information.

If anyone else has one and wants a friend, add me! My name is Jeanine Hermida.

I have the FitBit One and I love it. Before I ran over it I could see stairs climbed, calories burned, you can wear it at night and it will wake you up when your body has had enough sleep and tracks your sleep too. Only downfall is no heart rate tracker but soy dt's like you're not interested in that lol. Since I can't use the screen anymore, I just keep track of the stats through the FitBit app on my phone :)
