Anybody else like catfishing on MFP?

I love fishing blues in larger rivers, but channel and flathead are the dominant fish in rivers here.

    I tried catfishing in the Orinoco River Basin. My quarry turned out not to be a catfish, but an electric eel. He shocked me, I threw explosives at him, they didn't work, he shocked me again, etc... It was a miserable day.

    I've no idea. I did find a synonym: cat-daddling. I may have a new favorite word. The notion of catfisting, however, frightened me a bit.

    This is the internet. No matter what I'm fishing for I always at least half assume there's a catfish on the other end of the line.

    The Mississippi has some great catfishing around here. But the water temp is below 50 degrees now, so i may be done until spring.
