Need Support

Hi Guys, I'm the heaviest I have ever been in my life, including when I was prego with both children, I am depressed and want to get the weight off but I'm sick of yoyo dieting, my life seems a little out of control lately with family health, job issues, and just stress in general, really need some support, appreciate any suggestions on how to get started! Thanks

Hi Viriginagirl,
We have all been there. It can be very depressing when you feel so yucky about yourself and nothing seems to work.
You don't need to yoyo diet. You know what to eat. Fresh fruits and veggies, lean proteins, cut back on carbs, drink lots of water and limit soda/fruit juices or cut them out all together.
Try and move your body for at least 30 minutes a day to start. You could even try 3 times a week and see if you can reach that goal. Trust me...I've been battling my weight for over 10 years. I would make little goals for myself and I would fail myself but I kept trying and now I'm working out 5 days a week and take the weekends off. I hope to start working out every day soon.
Hold yourself accountable. Use the myfitnesspal app and keep track of what you eat.
If you slip up, you slip up! Don't punish yourself. You can have a cookie! Just don't eat the whole box. You want to lose weight slowly....I don't know how much you have to lose but I have about 70 pounds to go.
I know for me, I am happy losing 1 to 2 pounds a week. I want my skin to stretch back into place and I know slowly is the way to do that.
Just take each day and do your best. Don't be afraid to come on here and ask for encouragement. You got this! Believe in yourself. You are worth it and your kids deserve a mom who is healthy and will live a long time. Do it for them and you.
