I am headed to a conference there next week. Logging calories could be interesting...

I'm slightly curious about this part: Why, exactly? Planning to meet someone? :P

    Hello fellow Nevadans!
  • I'm in Vegas! Unfortunately I haven't been here very long so I won't be much help. Besides, since I live here now I'm a local, we don't go to the strip - we frequent the station casinos.

When I VISITED Vegas I did enjoy the Rio Buffet - it was pretty extensive. I think you'll find any buffet on or near the strip to be gut-busting enough. Enjoy!

I was in Vegas in October and Planet Hollywood had a wicked buffet! The Spice Market Buffet has a huge variety of food - was my absolute favorite place. They have Mexican, Italian, American, Asian, Middle Eastern, and I remember they had a couple of sections that were soup and salads.

The Mandalay does not have any restaurants only an expensive coffee shop-sells bananas too.

Have to go next door to the Luxor to have a food selection.

    Have fun!

    3hrs away, not going

Do not waste your money at the Mandalay buffet ~ food is mediocre at best. A favourite choice is the Buffet @Bellagio. Price is reasonable and the selections are from comfort foods to the more extravagant varieties

I keep hearing good things about the Blagio

I wish I still did but sadly the California money lure was too great. Although I miss not having to pay state income tax.
