Hunting/Deer Season Widows

Just seeing how many others get to be single every November (for me) for anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks. Hubby goes off to hunt Bambi and I get to play single mommy.

What do you do different from your daily routine? Before kids this was a great time to relax. Then the kiddo's came and it was very stressful for about 4 yrs and now it's back to being somewhat of a fun time again.

My husband works out of town Monday - Friday, so I am a widow all the time.. so when hunting season comes around.. its just another 2 days ... But he does actually take my son with him for deer season. So then my daughter and I get quality time to do girl stuff.

Heya girly! (ps...glad to see you back) I wish I could help you out on the daily routine thing but, I am a hunter. I love my hunting weekends but, that's all mine are. Still gotta run the show here at the business. One of these years...I'm going to shut down a couple of weeks every November and give the whole two week hunting camp thing a go. I guess all I can add though is to make sure he leaves the credit card and check book so you can have some fun too!

Not married, but my boyfriend's a hunter and will be on his way to deer camp starting the day after Thanksgiving. I just sit back and wait for the influx of yummy venison! :drinker:

Hunt every week-end.....I think some of the men just use the "camp" as an excuse to get away....LOL

It seems to last forever !!! lol
All the men in my family go as much as they can. Even leaving work early or coming in late.
Also deal with the bow hunting, and the pre hunt scouting. They find every reason to get out there.
Which is good, better than laying around watching tv or playing video games.

Now what do the hunting widows do..... shop, shop, and shop...and prepare for the weekend hunting party.
I like the one post of "leave us the cash and credit cards" haha

I do quite a few hunting trips and sometimes the wife and kids come with and sometimes they don't. Don't get a chance to get out for more than a few days anymore though.

    Pshhh Hunting widow, my butt...

We are hunting partners. He can't get rid of my that easily, unless he is hunting squirrels, not my cup-a-tea.
