I'm not feeling very creative right now.
Here's the situation.
I do turbo fire's 40 stretch pretty often, and never have a problem with it. I'm not SUPER flexible, but i'm not terrible either. This week I was in the middle of my stretch (don't know the exact name for the stretch I was doing, but i've done it numerous times before). Something happened, I felt a pull on my hamstring, it was sudden and very discomforting to the point where I had to pull back. I finished the stretch and didn't think much of it. This was around Monday, and even now when working out I find I cannot stretch my leg as straight when doing kicks etc. Has anyone ever experienced this? what did you do? I'm not entirely sure who I would see for something like this. On one hand it could just be irritated and be something I can wait out. On the other hand i'm worried if I keep ignoring it it'll turn into a big deal and I won't be able to workout in the future.

Hi
if it's bothering you and you want to check it out, I would see a physiotherapist first and then they could refer you to anyone else if required. I don't have experience with what you described sorry. But sometimes it's good to just check things out just in case it's something that needs follow up.0 -
Sounds like you pulled your hamstring. If you can walk without discomfort, then it's not too bad and it'll heal up pretty quickly.
If you can't straighten your leg at all and walking's a b!tch, then it'll take a while longer to heal.
You MUST rest it. A mild tear will heal quickly, but if you force it, it'll get worse. The worse you make it, the longer it'll take to heal.
I tore mine up pretty bad a couple of decades ago - it was agony and took a long while to heal. I was pretty stupid and tried to do all kinds of things and kept re-****!ng it up. But then I was young...0 -
I can walk fine, it's just when I stretch it, it feels uncomfortable.0

Sounds like a mild pull. A minor tweak.
Stay away from movements that cause the discomfort for a little while. Give it a chance to heal up. Shouldn't take too long!0 -
See your doctor!
I had this many years ago. Didn't do anything apart from resting from my usual workouts for a bit because I felt fine walking. But about 5 months down the line, I could still feel it whenever I stretched my hamstrings so I finally went to see the doc... long story short: I wasn't allowed to do any (ANY!) sports for 6 months, had lots of therapy and massages and, after the 6 months, lots of physical therapy but still not my normal sports (I did a lot of dancing back then).
So my advice, go get it checked out now!0
