Which do you think is the best heart rate monitor watch? I'm looking at the Polar FT4 and FT7. However, I'm still undecided. Any suggestions?

Interested in the same. I had a fitbit flex which I sold now looking at the flex...But after reading I think the Polar plus the heart monitor would be better. Interested in something I can wear all day in the office and also during cardio and 5x5 stronglifts.0

I have the Fitbit Flex which I wear 24/7 and then for any sort of workout I use my Polar FT7 which I love. They have a chest strap which makes it a lot more accurate but I would not wear that all day. Good luck with the choice that you make.0

I have had the Polar FT4 for nearly two years now, love it.
To use it as an HRM, you need to wear the strap too with the receiver on it, it all comes in one package when you purchase it.0 -
I've had my Polar watch for 7 years & I love it. If it ever dies I'd definitely buy another Polar0

Will the Polar act like the new Fitbit Force for my 24/7 activity and then be able to handle my workouts by adding in the HRM?
Sounding to me like the Polar has a dual purpose. Will get me the 24/7 activity not unlike a Fitbit Flex/Force as well as double as a HRM when I go lift or do cardio?
Please confirm if I'm reading this right and lay out any specific Polar combo's I should be looking into if I am reading this dual benefit correctly.
I'm thinking the Loop + H6 or H7 is the way to go. Loop for the 24/7 and the H6 or H7 when I start to lift/run. Only thing keeping me from going this route is the moving of my daily diary. I like the BT or dongle that fitbit uses. Paying $60 for the dataflow cable for the Polar That sounds like robbery.0 -
Unfortunately, I can't help you with any of that as I don't know what any of that is you are talking about lol.
However, I will say this, an HRM is only supposed to be used when the heartrate is elevated, if you were to wear it all day, it would not be accurate as it is only meant for cardio.0
