Do you guys put in your weight when it's that time of month? I always retain water really bad around this time and I'd hate to keep throwin off my ticker.

LOL...I was just wondering about that about 5 minutes ago. I would guess that it's not the best time to weigh in though.0
-
Absolutely not. Last month I was showing a gain of 6 pounds. :explode:
So I skipped logging it in that week and logged the following week and everything was back to normal.0 -
I totally keep away from the scale for the time just before, after and during TOM... keeps me from driving myself insane with it.0
-
Me, too! I'm struggling with that this week as well! I"M SOOO BLOATED!0
-
Ditto for me. Retain water like a camel. This Friday's weigh in will suffer for it, but next Friday's weigh in should be great (once all the water weight goes bye bye)!0
-
i NEVER log my weight before my period, i even try to stay away from the scale!!! i can gain around 6 pounds about a week before but by the time its over im usually down a couple of pounds.... It sucks being a girl sometimes!!! its so frustrating to see the scale go up for uncontrolable reasons!!!

I always stay away from the scale during that time too. :bigsmile:0
-
Same for me here too! :flowerforyou:
I hate the bloating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
i never ever weigh before my period either.
i wait until well after because i know for sure that water weight will effect the scale!0 -
Try to drink more tea (preferably green), around this time. It is a natural diuretic and can help shed the excess water. I am addicted to the Starbucks iced green tea. I don't have them sweeten it and instead add a little splenda. It's really good!!!!0

interesting.....never knew about it.0

Well, now green tea is my FAVORITE!0 -
I never weigh myself 2 days b4 I get my period up until 2 days after my period. It would seriously make me throw my scale out the bathroom window. I have weighed myself during and it siad I was about 3-5 pounds heavier.
STAY AWAY FROM THE SCALE DURING YOUR TIME OF THE MONTH LADIES!!!!

Yes, I have also noticed quite a bit of weight difference the week before. Although I think I will still track my weight to see what the difference is around that time, and to see what I can do to help with not gaining weight during that week. I have noticed such an increase in appetite that is incredible.
I am literally ravenous the week before mine starts. Last week was horribly rough! :devil:0 -
Yes, there is always some kind of water retention or something. Wise to wait after that week is over.0

I don't even bother to weigh during my TOM....not worth the headache looking at a higher number because I know that it's going to be there.:flowerforyou:0

When I weigh myself at this time, everyone in my family suffers! Why on earth would we do this to ourselves when we are already emotional??!! And I always make sure to have lo-cal fudgescicles on hand too!0
-
No way! I stay FAR AWAY from anything that calculates weight during that time!!! haha! :bigsmile:0
-
I only enter my weight in the tracker when I see a loss. :bigsmile:0

Good one!:laugh:0 -
If I manage to MAINTAIN my weight at that time, then I know in actuality I'm LOSING weight, because the week after all the weight drops off at once. So I usually have a plateau week followed by a big drop.0

hmm...my mother is a nurse and told me I would need to drink 32 cups (of green/black tea "oolong") a day to see an actual change with my body. I have not researched this.....but just thought I should add it so everyone does not run off drinking green tea with high expectations!!
Good luck to all0 -
i agree with tam green tea helps but doesnt get rid of everything. i too am addicted to green tea but i havent tried starbucks yet gonna have to do that for a treat.
green tea is great for your body all together. it loosen up mucas and it helps with weight loss. cant beat that0 -
Green tea has been clinically proven to decrease your chances of heart disease, breast cancer, and promote weight loss if you take it everyday. It's the anti-oxidants. You would need to drink 4 cups a day though for those side effects. I take green tea tablets (same effects) which are a lot easier for me, and they're pretty inexpensive.0

hey guys, i'm in the VL Challenge..... GO PURPLE!...anyway, it's that time and we HAVE to weigh in! I'm getting so worried. I don't want to report a gain. Can we please please please institute a Time of Month excuse for weigh in?
Also, I understand that everything I've gained will fall off, but what about the pounds I've been working on all week? I've been doing so great, I just hope it doesn't get wasted.0 -
for those of us who have midol in the house, it has a diuretic in it.
