A year ago I weighed 70lbs heavier. I was unhappy, did not care about myself, did not have time for myself and was pretty miserable about myself. I took my daughter to the park and was out of breath trying to run after her and dismayed when she caught the shot below of me...

Today we returned to the same park after I ran my first 5 miles this morning :). I was able to run after her, be chased, play in the park and just have plain old fun without being an out of breath sweaty mess. I asked my daughter to take another shot of me, a year on, just over 70lbs down.

My journey's not over yet but I am so proud of how far I have come and all that I have achieved.

The beginning came when I decided I needed to put ME first.

    Thank you all! I couldn't wait to go back and take a progress pic - had it planned for weeks leading up to the day! I might get some professional pics done there next year if I feel I have succeeded.

    Side by side comparisions are the best at showing the differences though I also catch a glance at my reflection in a shop window now and think wow, that's me!

    Amazing to think it was only a year ago. IT's crazy - I'm just a totally different person now... :)
