Asian Meatballs


Ingredients:

1lb 97% Lean Ground Beef
1/4 cup Eggbeaters
1/2 cup Minced Onions
2 tsp Minced Garlic
1tsp Minced Ginger
1/2 cup Panko Crumbs
2 tbsp Low sodium Soy Sauce
a few squirts of lime juice

Directions:

Preheat over to 400 degrees.

Line baking sheet with foil, spray with pan spray.

Mix all ingredients together. Shape into 1 inch balls.

Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown on top and no longer pink in middle.

Makes approx 22 meatballs @ 40 calories each.

    im using asian style panko crumbs i got at kroger. they have black sesame seeds in it. so yummy!

    Chicken mince and chilli sauce or fresh chillies would be nice too.

    should be good! the lean beef was actually cheaper for once, so i bought that. im usually more of a ground turkey person.

    I make them with chicken or chicken/turkey mixture all the time. I use a real egg and i add a little hot sweet chili sauce or some chili flakes and a little honey. they freeze well, too.

    I just made a very small batch to try them - just 4 oz of ground turkey. I think it made 7 meatballs - I just ate them plain when they came out of the oven. :bigsmile:
