It's not a good idea to do those. Also, brace yourself for many posts making fun of people who do these things. That's how MFP works.0

Nope. No one.0

This sounds like 21 days without bacon, which I am completely unwilling to participate in0

I have not heard of it, but if it's Standard, it must be legitimate.

Look for these words in any product to let you know they have no idea what they're talking about:
* Cleanse
* Detoxify
* Anything that claims "without exercise" or "without changing how you eat"
* Homeopathic
* Claims of spot reduction
* "In only (single digit number) minutes a day"
Things that add negative points also include:
* Specifically for (subset of population, e.g. women, men, over forty, etc.)
* Celebrity endorsements - double if its someone who stars in TV, an order of magnitude if it's Suzanne Sommers or Jenny McCarthy
* As Seen in (any) magazine - double the negative points if it was on the cover0 -

Now that your new friends have gotten their creative snarks out of the way...
Don't do it.
I am a veteran of the Cabbage Soup Diet (completely legit until it was exposed as a fraud), a doctor-led liquid only 900 calorie a day diet and various other schemes. I have taken "Dieter's Cleanse" herbal supplements and other quick fixes.
Most of these do more harm than good. The Cleanses will dehydrate you.... and worse, much worse.
The best thing to do is a long term approach with supportive friends who will cheer you on, and tease the crap out of you when you go down the Yellow Brick Road.
I went and looked at that program after your post. Honestly, it is a Yellow Brick Road. The weight you might lose from it will come at the cost of severe hunger pangs, dehydration and probably a three-week bout of diarrhea. Only to come to an end where you won't have learned anything long-term that will help you. You may lost a pound or more per day, but when you go off of the plan, you will add it back, and probably more as your body will react to being starved and then being reintroduced to an unhealthy diet (which is what lands a lot of us here to begin with).
A long term approach is the best way to go in which you will have good and bad days along the way and realize that when you string together a lot more good days than bad days, the weight will come off.
And stay off.
I know this is early for me, but I do know that the way I am approaching my weight loss is the best way, because I have tried the gamut and not found anything magic in it. Except for a lot of money spent on special foods and drinks and pills.
"Very expensive pee."
My fridge at work and the fridge at home have fresh fruit and vegetables and the freezer has lean meats. I have learned to shop on the outside aisles at the grocery store, the fresh produce aisle and the meat/fish market in the back of the store and avoid those long aisles of overprocessed, over-salted, over-sugared, over-fatted foods.
Low-fat processed foods typically mean high salt and sugar.
Low-sugar processed foods typically mean high fat.
Fresher foods and simpler cooking (baking, broiling, steaming, sauteeing, grilling) are giving me back my health.
Good luck. I hope you find what does work for you.0 -

Pfft. The 32 day purification blows both your purifications out of the water.
I actually like my 12044 day purification plan. Everyday I've been alive, my kidneys and liver have been doing a superb job of purifying my body of all the toxinz. They even purify my blood of that damn alcohol I like to put in my system from time to time.0 -

This calls for no protein for a while, then you incorporate it back in. Yeahhhh.... Not for me. Also, as you know, diets are a set up for failure.
Cutting out processed food is great because it forces you to be aware of what you're putting into you mouth. I use my diary for that. All those pills can't be good for you.... Or at the very least, not very filling.
Log your food
Make better choices (being mindful of macros)
Incorporate exercise
Build a support system
That's all you need to do. No program to buy, no pills to swallow.
Good luck.0 -
