I am hoping to find someone who might share the same goals that I have. I am at my heaviest weight (around 170) and would like to get down to about 130 and into a size 10 comfortably. I have about 40 body fat pounds to lose and a lot of lean muscle to gain.
I discovered this site almost a month ago but have only made minimal changes in my food and activity. I realize that it's going to take a partner to be accountable to in order to be more motivated and stay on track. Having a workout partner usually works well with me so I can only imagine how encouraging it would be to have an online buddy.
I still have yet to stay committed to logging everything I eat and do. Everyday...every meal and every physical activity is a challenge for me. Please feel free to share your tips and advice on getting through the first week and keeping focused. (I seem to always do well on Mondays and then start to falter on the consecutive days.)
I hope to be one of the success stories someday soon like many of you out there.

Ok. Sooo. I am 5'2" and weighed 168 when I started. I have lost 12 lbs so far. I too am looking to be around 130-135 lbs. Of course I dont know how age figures in but I am 47. I do know it means a lot of bad habits have been built up over the years, that is for sure.
I am so happy you are choosing a better way of life. Once you really get your calories in order and exercise, exercise, exercise you will be amazed at how much better you feel.
Feel free to email me or send me a line.
I hope you have a great week.0 -

Ditto, except that I'm about 1/2 inch shorter than you. 150 is my goal, and If fit into an 8/10 I think I would fall out of my chair. Right now, I too am in a 14, and very comfortable 14 I my say.

Hi there! You have met the right person. I am also 5 feet 2 and around 173lbs. Trying to lose weight by the end of the year and be around 134. I am here with you. Let's talk!
PM me....if you wish.0 -
Hi! I am 5'2" and weigh 178, after weighing 195. SO a loss of 17 poinds but would like to be 125 or lower( I can get as low as 110 and still be ok). I am a size 14-16 right now and once upon a time I was a size 8 ( I still have the pants just in case this happens again). Life happened and I gained weight, but really could use a freind during this challenge of body and mind.0

I'm 5'0 and a size 10, so that sounds like it probably evens out okay. I am 164 right now, but two weeks ago I was 168. I am starting my sophomore year of college in the fall and after a lot of events (stopping high school sports, gaining a TON of weight at college due to parties and the dining hall), I am a lot heavier than I would like. I am trying to get down to about 152 by the time I go back to school, and 120 by the end of January. I miss my cute little high school figure!0
