Simple challenge for November - no lifts/elevators!

I live on the 6th floor in an apartment building, so I'll be using the stairs from now on. I'll walk up escalators and try to find the stair wells at work so I can avoid the lifts there too.

I'm sure it all helps!

LOL ... I knew you were from England when I read this ... you call them lifts ... this is a great challenge. I would do it too but I'm a mail clerk and dragging the mail cart up and down the stairs might be too loud for my co-workers. Good luck to you!!

I like that challenge! But, I live in a one story house and work in a one story building. :ohwell: I will skip them if I spot them, wherever they are!

Okay, I too live/work in a one story so my goal will be to park in the BACK of the parking lot wherever I go and half to walk the length of the parking lot to the mall, Wal-mart, Target, and grocery store!

I work on the the 29th floor... we are not permitted to take the stairs. BUT I'm in for any and all other stairs! :-)

DOH! So much for one story living. I had to go into town and I parked on the 3rd floor of the garage. No big deal, but I had about 75 pounds of plans and reports. I stuck with it and took the stairs. On the way back, I was so busy reading text messages I walked up to the 5th floor before I realized what I had done. :blushing:

I'm doing quite well in the lead up to November.

The building where I live has stairs, but not to the basement parking garage, so I'm very pleased with myself that I take the lift to the ground then walk up the next 6 floors.

At work, I'm on the second floor (3rd for all your Americans) but the decent coffee place is on the seventh, so I walk up there twice a day.

Otherwise, I walk on escalators instead of standing.

I'm sure it'll do some good!
