I have been on a weight loss goal for over 2 years now. I was doing great. Loosing weight and feeling very proud of myself. Just in the last 4 months I have been gaining weight, my nurse is not sure why. I would really like to loose 20 pounds in the next 14 weeks. Any suggestions or success stragegies that has worked for any one else.

It all depends on why you've been gaining. But this simple answer is sometimes the best one:

    EAT LESS. MOVE MORE.

(Note: Eat less calories, often healthier stuff can actually be more food by volume!)

The tried and true way of losing weight will always be calories in vs calories out. Get you some good exercise in and eat healthy, Keep up with what you are eating because even the small bites count.

idk what might have been causing you to gain(can't see your diary), but I would say find some healty mainstays (i am dependant on greek yogurt to survive) and find an exercise regimine that a) is fun and b) you can ease into. I started running with Couch to 5K (C25K for short) and now run between 2 and 4 miles 4 times a week. It been great to have milestones that have nothing to do with the scale! (do not let it rule your life!- the scale that is)

I have been having the same problem. Started in Jan 09, lost and maintained 33 pounds and now for the last two months I have been gaining it back. I noticed my food wasnt what it used to be tho, so I have made that adjustment. I have been working out like crazy. I feel good but the scale sure has been going the other way. I think maybe our bodies are getting used to our routine that kept the weight off . . . maybe need to switch things up? I started 30 day shred two days ago, so maybe I will notice a difference with that. Try something new and keep your body guessing . . . good luck!

Stay under calories, eat healthier, drink 7 glasses of water per day, exercise everyday...this is what has worked for me. I get on my elliptical for 25 minutes each day...no matter what!!! I convince myself that it is only 25 minutes about of my 24 hr day!!! I also gave up diet soda and unhealthy afternoon snacks...replaced with water, fruit, nonfat yogurt, Laughing cow cheese w/ lowfat ritz crackers!!!

I'm glad that I am not the only one on the venture.
