what calorie burn is right one?

Ok so I worked out this morning, doing insainty, took my heart rate at verious points, each section was diffrent reading.

After my warm up before stretching, was 114
After my first sections of reps(3) etc it was 145
Then next set of reps (3) 111
Then my cool down stretch went down to 85

Doing the calorie burn
At rate 2 'fat burning zone' according to my watch is 313 calorie burn

But at rate 4 which would be 145 was apparently a 732 calorie burn.
But im asuming my watch is going by if I worked at rate 2 for the whole work out, or the rate 4 work out for 45 min

But I wasnt working at rate four for the whole 45 mins, or rate 2 for the whole 45 mins

Hoping this makes sense, so I am hoping someone can guide me to which calorie burn would be correct.

Thanks in advance.

take your highest reading and lowest reading add them together then divide by 2 you will come to an average

rough and ready iknow but probably a reasonable estimate
  • Thank you,
Would that be the bpm reading or would that be the watches calorie burn i would have to add, devide?

Not sure if you are using a heart rate monitor but try this

    rate 2 cal burn (313) plus rate 4 cal burn(732) =1045
    divide by 2 = 522.5

if it is a HRM then it should base the calories burn on the average heart rate
  • Thank you, Yes using heart rate monitor, great if working at steady pace for whole workout as my heart rate has been up n down, don't think my watch can give me right sort of amount calorie burn.

Anyway cheers, i'l be able to fill out my exercise now.
