Can't seem to lose weight

Hi, I have been counting calories now for approx a month and have not really lose a single pound (I've lost one, put one on a couple of times...). I started doing 1200 per day but then someone told me that was too little so I upped it to 1500. I have also starting running approx 25-30 mins about 3 times a week and also swimming. I firstly didn't eat my calories back but I have also started doing this as I read someone saying that can also cause issues. I have lost a couple of inches which is good but at some point I'd really like the weight to start going down as well. According to bmi I should really be about a stone lighter than I currently am but just not sure how to get there!

How accurate are you with weighing and measuring your food? This post is an eye-opener:

I do generally weigh things (when I can..obviously not if I'm out) but I shall try and do it for everything for a week or so to see what happens!!0

MFP tends to really overestimate calorie burns, so if you're eating all your exercise calories back that could be the problem. Maybe try only eating 1/2 back or figuring out your TDEE then eating a bit less than that since you don't have much weight to lose?0

I think I must have done the TDEE thing wrong as is came out with 2606! And bmr of 1681....! So I'm not entirely sure what to do with that information! It does sometimes seem surprisingly high on the calories for exercise thing. I'll start only using half of these!0

Looking over just past few days - one day over, one day missing, and likely excessive numbers for exercise calories burned.
Bottom line: you are most likely eating too much for your activity level.0 -
toss the scale, losing inches is much more important and a victory than a number on a scale.
If you're losing inches then you're losing weight, simple as that. Don't let the scale rule you.0
