Could someone please help me out here. I just used the TDEE calculator iifym.com. I put in excercise 4x week which is an accurate average for me. The calculator does not ask for how many calories burned (i use a hr monitor and usually burn about 350 cals per workout)
The calculator says:
Your BMR is: 1406 Calories/Day
Your TDEE is: 1995 Calories/Day
does this mean 1406 is my target cals for weightloss and i DO NOT eat back workout calories?
I am 5'5 currently 153 lbs with an ultimate goal weight of 140lbs.
Appreciate any insight into this, thanks in advance.

It means anything under your TDEE will result in weight loss.
A 10% cut from TDEE would be sensible as you don't have much more weight to lose, any more of a reduction and you may well feel really restricted.
Transition to maintenance will be much easier if you take the last few pounds loss slowly.
With the TDEE minus a percentage method you don't eat back exercise calories as you have already factored them in when calculating your TDEE.0 -
thanks that helps!0

You eat 1800 calories every day, and do not eat exercise calories back.0
