6 months and 36 pounds later..

Today marks six months since I decided to turn my health around. Six whole months of eating at a calorie deficit and getting more active. Six months of steady weight loss and unwarranted comments and appreciated compliments. It truly doesn't seem like it's been this long but the calendar doesn't lie.
Over the past few months, I have lost 36 pounds and gained an immeasurable amount of confidence. And I didn't gain that confidence solely from my weight loss. I gained it from doing well in school and learning new things. Knowledge truly is powerful. In short, I'm proud of myself in more ways than one. So, here's a thank you to myself and to the people who have made the journey a little easier.

I still have a few more pounds to lose but I'm excited to get to my goal! I'll be starting heavy lifting with a friend who happens to be a personal trainer in the next week. :)

My befores are in the plaid shirt at my son's birthday party in April and the other pictures are from this week!
