Hi there,
I've been dieting for about 4 months months now, i eat about 800-1400 calories a day. each day is different.
i'm eating as healthy as possible. i finished t25 last week even though i lost only 3Kg it looks like i lost 5 or 6 which is i believe a good thing but sadly i'm a scale person!
I'm 21 years old girl 152cm and 54Kg my goal weight is 45-48.
I didn't get my period for about 3 months, i went to the doc and she said it's because of my excessive training - i sometimes do T25 twice a day-
i've been gaining and losing 3 pounds for the last 5 weeks so i just stated Insanity and now i'm on day 7
what shall i do to start losing weight again? am i doing things right?

I wasn't going to post cuz I believe 100% that you already know the answer to this question but then I thought bout it and said well maybe not... so here I go... No you are not... You are eating I sure to few caloires doing insanity... I was eating 1900 while doing insanity... and I believe with t25 its the same way.. plus doing t25 twice a day... way to little food...0

You can expect it to be slow because getting to 100lbs is usually not natural. You're very petite, but 100lbs puts you as very very small so your body will not drop the standard 2lbs a week people who have say 50lbs to lose will. You seem to be doing it right but you don't need to train twice a day and if you stop having your period, you are officially in trouble. Usually a sign your body can't function at your weight with the amount of activity.
Also, don't ever eat 800 cals a day, especially exercising. You should be at 1200 - 1400 without exercise, probably 1600-1800 with, since T25 is intense.
Honestly you don't need to be that thin or even lose any weight, but it's not underweight so I can't very well say you shouldn't.0 -
the thing is that i'm small and i think 1900 is way too much even with insanity! and i don't burn as much as average people do.0
-
No. You are not doing it right.
1. Why do you think you don't burn as much as other people?
2. You have lost your period - your body is under too much stress. Ease up. What is your hurry?
3. Try eating at your goal weight maintenance and make sure you are eating back your exercise calories.0 -
yeah, i figured and now i'm upping my calories and taking rest days. my weight is alright but i have problem with my thighs and my upper arms it makes me look even shorter
thank you so much you made me feel a bit better0 -
^I agree with everyone above me. You have several different issues going on here. You're already at a normal weight for your height and it may be time to focus on changing your body shape through exercise instead of losing weight.
I ran your stats through a TDEE calculator (http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/). Your BMR is approximately 1224 calories. That's the number of calories you burn every day just keeping your organs functioning, heart pumping, brain alive, etc. Your TDEE w/ exercise 6 times a week is 1844. This is approximately the number of calories you burn in a day, and the number of calories you'd need to eat to maintain your current weight. Please, eat at a reasonable deficit from this. 10%-20% max. (1475-1660 calories)
You are close to your goal weight now. If you continue to lose it's going to be slow. Working out twice a day, starving your body, nothing is going to change that fact. A half pound a week is a good rate of loss once you're within a normal BMI. Don't try to rush the process or your body will suffer.0 -

1- they always say small females burn less
2- i'm not in hurry the things is that i didn't see changes and maybe it made me frustrated
and your last point sounds really effective! gonna try it!
thank you!0 -

It's true that smaller women burn more than, say, a six-foot-tall man. But not as little as you're trying to eat. 1200 calories is the bare minimum recommended for even small, sedentary women to ensure that you're getting enough nutrients in your diet. And the more active you are the more you're going to burn.
Set your MFP profile up accurately. Set it to lose 1/2 pound per week. Eat up to the goal it sets for you. Log your exercises and eat back some of the added calories. Give yourself rest days and relax!

It's not about how much you burn during workouts, its about finding a balance between calories in vs out. While doing insanity, based on your stats, 1700 is ideal (macro's around 40% carbs, 30% protein and fats). Being small means you burn less calories, which means you eat a little less. So the taller person might eat 1900, you will eat 1700. Adding more calorie should bring back your period as well as it will take some of the stress off your body. This should also allow you to lose some weight once your body alleviates some of the stress.0

Realize that when you increase your calorie limit, your body may need a couple of weeks or so to adjust to it before you start losing again. At least that's what happened to me.0

am i going to gain some weight?
Its possible.. but it is just water. It didn't for me when I upped my calories from 1800 to 2500 but I feel women are more prone to seeing some water weight gains. This is why you need to give a plan a month.0
