so ive read a yahoo thread this or that and ive actually been starting to do it like i read about the fresco tacos at taco bell two of those is 300 calories not bad. So just being curious i normally order a half pound cheesy bean and rice burrito so i looked it up on here and it was 410 without the jalapeno sauce or the fiesta salsa (correction normally eat 2). So i was eating like 600 to 700 extra calories :noway: so i guess ill just switch to fresco haha any other eating tips like this?

Eat the lighter option if you love it, but if you don't, eat less of the higher calorie version. 1/2 a burrito has 50% fewer calories than an entire burrito (AND you get TWO meals out of it).
EAT WHAT YOU LOVE!!!

My only suggestion would be to not eat out at all if you can, there are easy way's to even duplicate some of your favorites at home using healthier alternatives which in-turn cut the calories in half.
If your going to eat out though I would say no super sizing anything and if you have the option of getting a side go for the healthy side, like the fruit cup or salad and if you do ever get a salad don't pour on the dressing (that's where a HUGE majority of calories come from in fast food salads) instead dip your fork in the dressing then grab a bite of your salad. Same with drinks instead of a soda get a water and if you HAVE to have soda, go for the diet!0 -
Go to any bookstore and you can find these books called "Eat This, Not That" that are FULL of these kinds of suggestions. I don't know how many different varieties of this book are out now, but you can probably also take a look on Amazon.com to get a good idea of which one(s) you'd want to buy.0

This may not be the most popular responce, since alot of ppl dont believe in cutting out some foods all together for fear of feeling deprived and not being able to stick to it...but here goes
I was a junk food addict, Big Macs and Nacho BellGrandes:) Extra sour cream & Guacamole..Havent eaten fast food in 6 months!!! And I admit I have NO willpower . But I did it, so if I did it any one can.
My eating ( IN MY OPINION ) is like an alcoholic, it was or is I guess a disease and I know that at least for me, if I go to TacoBell or McD, i will not have that self control to eat 1/2 of something..so i just avoid it.
After 6 months I really don't miss it..could I eat it?? YES, but miss it like a bad craving?? NO
Good Luck in whatever you decide to do. I opt for avoiding temptations as much as possible0 -
I would say you just have to be conscious of what you eat. A lot of resturants put there menus online so you can look before you go. Try the smaller portions or eat 1/2 of the big. I LOVE taco bell and haven't been there since I started because I know most of the stuff has loads of calories. I went to a Hooters this week and got the fish sandwich without the bread and no sides. Not many calories and very filling and GOOD too. LOL. You can still go out to eat but watch what you eat and if you are over a little that is fine. Like the others said, you still have to enjoy life. It is all about the moderation. Good luck!0
