How much do you have to lose?
My advice is to start counting calories, seriously! Two years ago I started counting calories and used lean cuisines to make it easier. I lost 80 pounds in six months, I went from 236 to 155. My husband did it too, he went from a size 44 to a 34 in the same amount of time. When I was done I started going back to old eating habits because I wanted burgers and pizzas and I gained 35lbs back but it took me almost two years to gain that much back. I'm now counting calories to size down again and I've already lost 6 pounds this week. BUT I'm not using lean cuisines I'm just eating healthily. When I lost the weight the first time I didn't exercise and I'm not really exercising now but I am a waitress so I'm on my feet for about 6 hours a day. However, when I lost the weight the first time I did Insanity after I was at my goal weight and within the first month I saw a transformation! I started noticing a lot of definition in my thighs and stomach, I had upper abs when I flexed!! Best of luck to you!!0 -
The best advise I have is to identify the problem...Do you eat too many calories? Do you eat too much fatty foods? Do you eat enough? Do you need to exercise more?
As a Christian, did you realize that the Bible is full of verses that reference food and it's purpose in our lives? It starts in Genesis when Eve looked at the tree (Genesis 3:6).
Here are some verses you may find helpful
Matthew 4:1-11 (yes, even Jesus was tempted by food!)
Psalm 78:18
Isiah 43:18-19
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, 12 (find an accountability partner)
John 4:34
Philippians 3:18-19
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Haggai 1:2-8
1 Peter 5:6-10
James 1:2-4
Exodus 16:2-4
Ephesians 4:22-24
Romans 6:19
Deuteronomy 8:3
1 Corinthians 6:12
Revelations 3:8
