Darn Clothes!

So when I was visiting home back in August, I came across two cute sun dresses in my closet. One of which I wore under my gown at my high school graduation and the other one that I wore all through high school. When I tried them on, they fit, but were both pretty tight (especially around the chest area because I've gotten MUCH bigger there than I was in high school!). So I took them back with me anyways.
I just found them today and tried them on. Wouldn't you know, they fit perfectly!! Still a little bit busty but one of them is even too big!! But here's my dilemma- its not summer anymore!
I do live in Southern California so I suppose I *could* get away with wearing them now still, but I'm not sure. And I know for sure by next summer they will be way too big. Ack, what to do?!

I feel the same way about a few of my clothes, perhaps getting them altered? It might be an investment...but it depends how much you love them.0

If you really like them, can't you wear a cute little sweater or a light jacket with them? That's what I would do, I think.0

If I were you, I'd probably have them taken in; how much better is it to have your clothing you really like taken in so that you can keep wearing it? That is, as long as it's not too busty next summer0

I agree with Vickiele - sun dresses can look cute paired with a nice cardigan and some tights!0

Yep Wear tights or Capris under them and a cute jacket/sweater. Right now in San Clemente the weather is nice and I wouldn't think you'd even need a jacket but tight or capris would be ok. If you wanted to just wear the sundress you could make a trip to the beach0

:flowerforyou: Wow! thats an amazing goal to be able to join the FBI! Go for it!0

What a good problem to have! I am currently spending much time at Goodwill because keeping me in properly fitting clothes these days would cost a FORTUNE!0

I too have some tank tops that it is getting too chilly to wear by themselves, so I have bought 2 lightweight but longsleeve shirts (Target) and wear them underneath! Also with the sundress you could put leggings under it with a lightweight longsleeve tee or a jacket/sweater like the above posters suggested.
AWESOME JOB!!!

The sweater/jacket/cardigan is GREAT idea- but I only have one and it only matches one of the three sundresses! LOL. So maybe I need to look into finding some more!
Not sure I can pull the leggings thing off, to be honest. I've never worn them (other than at dance class as a child!) and I have no idea how to make it look good.0 -

Thanks! To be honest, I'm not sure that I WILL actually join when all is said and done, but it is an option that I'm keeping open because I know I would love it and I think I'd be pretty good at it, too, LOL. I think about it all the time. I still need two years of full time work-experience before I can apply so I have some time to get in shape and to decide what I want to do (of course, I have to find a full-time job first!). So we shall see!0
