Question for women who have had a hysterectomy

When I had my hysterectomy in march I lost a lot of blood. In a effort to stop it, the doctor had to do a 6x6 cm dissection in my abdomen just below my rib cage. I do light workouts such as yoga or dancing and have found recently that the area is starting to hurt as are some of the other areas that were painful following the surgery. I will make an appointment to see my doctor but in the meantime I am wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar?

Have you been active since your hysterectomy or are you just starting?0

It is possible that the muscles in that area were weakened by the surgery. You may have the beginnings of a hernia. For sure tell your doctor and stop doing abdominal exercises until the doc says it is ok.0

I have been out dancing on occasion and doing the usual lifting and that type of thing but I haven't been working out.
A friend of mine mentioned a possible hernia so I will see my doc to check into that ASAP.0
