Happy Holidays?

A nurse practitioner at the Spine Center I went to on Friday suggested this site, and I'm here to give it a try. I've got some serious health issues going on; CHF, COPD, CAD, Diabetes, and now, maybe a blown up back. The good thing is I qualified for Disability on the first try, and it'll kick in the beginning of next year. I'm at home all day now, eating of course, I've gained 45 pounds since I got out of the hospital in July (Pacemaker/Defibrillator), I have to get this under control and I'm hoping that this site, and some of you, can help me get it back together before I eat myself to death. I want to lose the 45 I've gained in the past few months and then lose 40 or 50 more before I go to "maintenance" I'd really appreciate hearing from any of you that have some time to help.

All good reasons to lose some weight. Take it slow and you are apt to stick with it. Read the forums and you'll get a lot of info-you'll have to decide which is good info for you to use. Keep logging and be honest with yourself. Good luck and I know you will get there!
