PCOS, Metformin and weight loss

I just got diagnosed with PCOS and the doctor put me on metformin. She stated that most that she has put on it have lost anywhere from 40-60 pounds in the first 6 months. I have only been on it a few days now and every time I take it makes me feel like I want to throw up. Which I have read other blogs and it states this can be normal for this drug. Anyone else have PCOS and take metformin?

It usually passes after first two weeks. so if you can just keep going0

Make sure you're eating something before you take it. Taking it on an empty stomach will make you have a bad time
Avoid anything fried until you start feeling more normal, in my experience I did better if I stuck to whole grains, vegetables and lean protein. Make sure you're getting enough fiber too. And drink LOTS of water.
It will pass after a while, and if it doesn't (give it a couple of weeks), talk to your doctor.0 -
The weight did not magically fall off of me like that.0

^^ QFFT. I was on low carb, exercising 4-5 times a week for at least an hour each time, and just managed 50lbs in 10 months.0
