Hi guys. I am just womdering, if I burn say 200 calories working out, do I then need to eat an extra 200 calories. I am supposed to be eating 1200 a day, but if I work off 200, do I then need 1400 that day?

Yes, you do. However, be aware that calories burned estimates in the MFP database and on machines at the gym tend to overestimate by a lot. The most accurate way (still not perfect though) is using a heart rate monitor.0

In principle, yes. In practise, most people are better off ignoring anything that burns only 200 (claimed) calories.0

I only eat half back of the numbers given to keep within a safe calorie margin, but making sure my basic protein quota is reached.0
