Hello,
My name is Bekah and I just got married back in August. While it was the perfect day, I look back at the pictures and realize I am not happy with my waistline. I have a little over 2 months to get to the point where I at least feel comfortable in my own skin. I know the proper way to lose weight is through lifestyle changes... but I was wondering if there were any healthy boosters I could try to speed the process along a bit. If you have any suggestions, Please let me know! Thanks!!

No. Eat at a deficit, depending on how much you have to lose and exercise. You didn't put the weight on over night, it's not going to come off over night. Slow and steady is the best route to go. Good luck.0

I realize that... I'm just wondering what certain foods will help better than others, or exercises that will burn more calories...0

I would recommend mixing up your workout routine and combine strength with cardio.
High intensity interval training is great for a fat burn and strength training is going to build you muscle and get your metabolism in going. Plus you can lose inches that way!0 -
Thanks! Would you recommend alternating days? 1 day cardio/1 day strength?
What are your favorite workouts?0 -
I think you look great!! Count everything & eat at a deficit ...and you will lose weight. If you want to speed up the process + reshape/tone while losing fat, do cardio and weights @ 3-4x week. If you can juice too, have some with your meals, or at least once a day for a serious intake of added nutrition! (I found that doing this helps to nix hunger in the sense that my body is getting a balance of what it needs.)0

Awww, thank you! But I can assure you I made sure to use the most flattering picture lol.
Thanks for the advise! We do have a NutriBullet at home, so I can def put that to good use.0 -

Since I started doing more strength training than I'm used to and heavier lifting it's taking it's toll on me. Which is good, but I need at least 2 days off between lifting straight lifting.
I would probably try to do one day cardio, one day strength, then either two days of cardio or one cardio and one rest day. And repeat. Listen to your body though. I also like incorporating things like Jillian Michaels where it's part strength and part cardio all rolled into one.
I'm a runner so I love any kind of running. One challenging workout is to do any type of interval training. I'm just getting back into my speed work so I recently did a workout to gauge my speed/fitness as it stands now. I did a one mile warm up jog and 5 minutes hard effort followed by 1 minute easy recovery. I did that four times. The benefit to this is if you aren't a runner you can modify it to be anything you want. For example, One minute run hard, two minute walk. I'm not sure where your fitness level is now and I know a lot more abour running than I doa bout lifting but I can give you lots of running "Workouts"
I know a lot of people recommend the stronglifts 5x5 program. I haven't tried it but I do some of the weights included in that.
I can tell you that while you will need to eat at a deficit, if you are beefing up yoru workout plan you need to make sure you eat enough, too. And I recommend, particularly after lifting or a hard run, to immediately refuel with some carbs and protein. Protein shakes are great for this.
Everybody on here has their own opinion. This is what works for me. I lost about 100 pounds a few years ago and kept it off. I have about 30 more pounds to lose which I'm serious about now. I just lost 8 pounds when I started back at it last month. don't just go by the number on the scale either. take your measurements!!0 -
Run!! thats the best, good for losing weight overall.
Try Jillian Michael's 30 day shred. great for losing inches0 -
Shadow boxing, bodyweight strength exercises, and lots of protein. That's my $.02.0

Insanity!0

I second 30 Day Shred. I lost 4 inches in my waist in 33 days from doing that workout and eating at a deficit.0

Thanks for all of the tips!! Hopefully I can reach my goal by then!! I'd even be happy with 10 lbs0
