WATER WEIGHT CONFUSING SCALE READOUTS?

So I felt pretty bloated yesterday, but since it's been a week from my last weigh in, I went on the scale and it showed I gained .5 pounds! Then today (because I watched my sodium levels yesterday) I got on the scale again for giggles and found I lost 2 pounds from yesterday. Can weight really sway that much in one day due to water weight? Does anyone know?

Yes it can change that much. I've dropped 3lbs in 24 hours due to water weight changes.

I can drop upwards of 7lbs In 24hrs, dependent upon diet and exercise.

Yep. I can fluctuate +/- 4 lbs, depending on ovulation, period, salt, exercise, or even basic potty needs. It happens. It sucks seeing that higher number, but you just have to remember it'll go down.

It doesn't mean that at least some of it is not a real loss so don't get discouraged.

Yeah I've totally dropped like 5 lbs in a couple days after "that" time of the month. Blooooat. I think it still counts! :D
