I'm no expert but you need to lose fat with a calorie deficit to slim your tummy. Neither of those videos will just reduce your belly fat on it's own.
I personally like P90x because it is many different workouts that are between 40-60 minutes. I don't buy into a 20 minute workout. I've tried 30 day shred and it's ok in a pinch.
I also really like Bob Harper's Inside Out Method which is a good series. He uses a lot of weights with cardio. Hope this helps a little.0 -
Apples to oranges comparison really... I've done both.
30DS = decent beginner's DVD. It'll hurt you at first if you have little to no prior exercise experience, but your body will soon adapt.
P90X = full on program with a mix of weights/cardio/flexibility. It's tough going, but rewarding.
Either one - you'll need to maintain a balanced diet to see effective results. It's like a puzzle with multiple pieces - you can't build a house with just a floor and a ceiling, you need the walls, doors and windows...
Best thing for a flat tummy = eating at a calorie deficit and any good cardio program. Lifting will help to maintain/increase muscle mass, increase metabolism and lower body fat composition, which promotes the look you're shooting for.
Good luck!
