That's where I started! I still love the basic idea but have tweaked it to fit my needs and what I've learned about my body.
Its easy if you just stick to meat, eggs, nuts, veggies, and some fruit....butter, coconut oil, and bacon lol.

I eat Paleo/Primal (depending on the day, lol) and I love it. I eat a lot of the same meals over and over again, but there are a couple I love to thrown in occasionally to mix things up. Mix a mashed avocado with shredded chicken, finely diced onion, and chopped bacon, and any other veggies you might want to toss in. Absolutely delicious! I also love to make green smoothies with almond milk, almond butter, and spinach. You can throw in any fruits or veggies for variety, I like peach and raspberry. And if you're into curry, homemade seafood vegetable green curry is easy and delicious. I use Thai Kitchen products to make it simple0

Take a look at some of the Primal diets that are becoming pretty popular, there are a lot of positive results and not so many negative ones if you look around at the forum comments on a few fitness sites. Most people seem to have more energy, feel fitter and healthier and just enjoy life more also its a lot easier to stick to than most so called diets because eating primally is in reality a lifestyle change rather than a short term diet.
