I like mine on rye toast with Vegemite and black pepper.0

Do you have to eat cottage cheese?0

Cottage cheese tends to be high in sodium, low in taste, maybe Greek yogurt instead?0

Why do you have to eat cottage cheese? I would just skip it. I can't tolerate lowfat cottage cheese, but I do really like the full fat version.0

I have been known to eat cottage cheese straight out of the tub and love every bite, but if you don't enjoy eating it, then you don't *have* to.
If you're still determined to get it into your diet somehow, you can add it to scrambled eggs and you won't have to deal with the slightly weird texture or the taste by itself -- instead, it will make your eggs a bit fluffier with a subtle cheesy flavour.0 -
i looooove it with pickled jalapeno slices... it tastes to me like a healthy jalapeno popper... its also good with jelly or honey....0

I grill mine cause I just can't eat it straight.
I spread vegemite on toast and then add 'cottage cheese with chives' - grill and eat ......yum0 -
I love cottage cheese with salt and pepper, lots of pepper! And some crackers0

cinnamon and/or nutmeg with fruit, but if you hate it why are you eating it?0

Hmmmm...I love cottage cheese but it's not for everyone.
My suggestion would be to try it with pears and if that doesn't work, don't sweat it. Have you tried different fat contents and curd sizes? My favorite brand (not available in all areas) is Breakstone's Smooth and Creamy small curd 4% fat cottage cheese.
I hope this helps. :happy:0 -
I add it to bean soup0

I agree with the above. Greek yogurt would make an excellent substitute for cottage cheese.0 -
I mix mine with some tuna and have it on corn thins or crackers0
-
Put it in lasagna.

I LIKE cottage cheese.
But I agree -- pineapple makes it taste great.
You might also consider chopping up onions and tomatoes.0 -
The only time I eat cottage cheese is when I put it in lasagne.0

Love my cottage cheese, would happily eat it all day long.
First choice is mixing it 50/50 with Greek Gods plain nonfat yogurt and slightly thawed organic frozen raspberries (or blueberries).
Yum times ten.0 -
I love mine with sunflower seeds and pepper.0

It's lovely with gherkins/pickles chopped into it or a spoon of your favourite jam with sugar or a sugar free version as you prefer.0

I prefer Breakstone's brand and will eat it right out of the carton plain. I mix it with a diced peach snack cup often, too.
Why eat it if you don't like it? What's wrong with regular cheese?0 -
If you like peanutbutter try throwing in 2 tbsp of ANPB...straight up protein heaven. I've mixed everything in cottage cheese from scrambled eggs, whey, PB, sugar free jello (was actually really good). Out of them all PB and jello were my faves.
The cool thing is you can buy like 12 cups from WM for 3.00 and they are all assorted, sugar free flavors..lemon lime cottage cheese mmmm0 -

This - It's my before bed snack with granola, raspberries and a little honey.0 -
I like cottage cheese with just salt & pepper ,but I will sometimes put fruit in it. A small amount of lite ranch dressing kicks the flavor up a notch also.0

I don't see why you feel like you must eat it, but you should try different brands. They're all so different and maybe you'll find one you like. My fave is the off brand from walmart... It's not so "cheesy".0

Cottage cheese only tastes remotely good when you grill it under the oven on toast.
But apart from that blek, it's like eating a tub of cellulite.0 -
It took me a long time to love cottage cheese but I was also determined to make it a staple in my diet because it's got so much protein. I eat Hood low fat no salt added cottage cheese. (I try to keep my sodium in check because hypertension runs in the family.) I use it instead of salad dressing on a salad with lots of ingredients (e.g. chicken, beets, carrots, chia seeds, dried cranberries, etc.). I'll sometimes mix it with some low sugar strawberry jam and that's pretty tasty. I have recently taken to adding some ranch mix/powder and using it as dip with Tostitos. On days when I don't have a lot of calories but need to up my protein, I've been known to do weird, unappealing things like mix cottage cheese with PB2 and shovel it down, lol. (It actually tastes better than it sounds.)0

I believe that the answer to your question is "nothing on God's green earth". I personally think cottage cheese is disgusting and nothing can make it edible, even a 5 lb bag of sugar. It's one of less than five foods that I detest.0
