Red Lobster Tilapia - Really?

DH and I went to Red Lobster last night. I looked at their lighter options and saw that the Parmesan Crusted Tilapia meal was less than 600 calories, so that's what I got. I found it a little hard to believe it wasn't more than that. So today I'm logging it into MFP and decide to look up the nutritional info. Sure enough, it's listed at 360 calories for just the Parm. Tilapia. But then I also realized that the plain Tilapia (with roasted veggies) is over 600 calories!! How can the crusted fish be so much LESS than the plain tilapia. I would have thought it was a typo, but it's that way in the NI guide and on the menu. So I guess I'm gonna just go with it and be thankful that I found a meal that I loved that fit in my calorie budget.

If the veggies are included in the calories, they were most likely coated in some type of oil before roasting which would add calories too.0

Usually the plain tilapia would be cooked in either oil or butter (basically skillet fried) where the crusted will be baked.0

Tilapia (Prepared grilled, broiled or Blackened)

but then this too

veggies jacking up that meal badly.. :bigsmile:0 -
But see, if you look up roasted veggies by themselves,they are only like 40 calories (I got those too and they weren't swimming in butter).
I'm think it's more the serving size and the fact that it was baked vs. fried in butter.0 -
Oh and if anyone is interested, the crusted tilapia meal included the roasted veggies and garden salad w/ red wine vinaigrette for less than 600 calories. It tells you all that in the menu.0
