      A few weeks ago in Mexico we befriended a very cool 60 year old lesbian couple over the course of a week.

      One day I was 3 drinks deep before happy hour started (which was @ 3 PM) and I came out of the pool and cast a shadow over one of them. She woman shielded her eyes to look up and see who it was and I said "I know, it's like Fabio coming at you right?"

      And she said "Vacation SHOULD make you feel that way!"

      I thought that was the perfect thing to say and a lot nicer than "I hate you because you have a winkie!" :bigsmile:

      I was walking downtown one day and this young lady approached me and with tears in her eyes asked me if she could give me a hug. Without thinking much I said of course. She hugged and sobbed for what seemed a long time. Afterward, she told me that I was beautiful...that I looked exactly like her brother that had passed away a few months earlier. I've never forgotten that, it wasn't that she made me feel beautiful by any stretch of the imagination, it was the pure emotion of feeling her wanting to hug someone that she never thought she'd ever see again. Having experienced loss like that, I know exactly how she felt.

      I was having a bad body image day on Sunday, and feeling kind of blue (skinny jeans shopping will do that you you!). Later that day I went the supermarket in leggings and a sweatshirt. A ran into a former coworker and he said, "Anne, everytime I see you, you just look thinner! There's not much left you." THANK YOU, kind sir! You just turned my day around!
