Alright. It just amazed me how different people are. Some people drop weight so fast, then there's other people (like me), who seem to take a millennium to lose one pound. I see all of these People saying that started in June, and have lost 20 to 30 pounds. I started myfitnesspal in August, and I've lost 8 pounds. I keep stalling, and I have no idea what my problem is. Just really irritating. In May I started eating beter and such though, went from 178, to my current 156 since then. Just wanting to hear anyone's tips on how they did it.
This week I have started working out again, been sick the past few weeks, so I've slacked over. Very sore, so I know I have some water weight. I know, need to be patient too, I understand. Just, a bit, BLARG, right now.
Might I add, I am 5'8. And thanks for the replies. I know it isn't linear, not for me. Lol. I normally end up having the, "weight whoosh," every month or so. Hopefully I'll still keep having it, just worries me because I don't know if It's gonna happen or not. xD And I've been eating at a deficit, And I measure and count everything.

I think you lose slower the thinner you are...8 lbs in 3 months isnt bad for your size I don't think..0

I know people who lose weight in a straight line, and those who leap and stall. I honestly think it is just a matter of genetics and fat cell count as well as your body's desire for homeostasis (some adapt more quickly than others). From my experience, former fatties seem to have the hardest time losing weight in a linear fashion when under 30% BF (40% for women).0

Various factors play a role in this:
1. How much weight you have to lose? People who have a lot of weight to lose, lose it quickly in the begining.
2. How active you are? Some people workout everyday for an hour or more!
3. How much do you eat? Some people who lose a lot of weight are eating dangerously less amount of food.
4. How accurate you are? This holds good for both exercise calories (use HRM) or food you eat(weigh and measure every morsel).
These are the things i could think of and P.S: 8 pounds in 3 months is amazing loss and good rate!
Good luck!0 -
I dropped weight like crazy when I switched to Paleo and changed up my macros. I now the highest % intake from fat, and only 15-20% from carbs. Plus, I'm never hungry, even on 1200 calorie days. And I very rarely do cardio, mostly just strength training. I guess I found the lifestyle that works best for me, I've never felt more healthy! Keep up your hard work, even slow loss is still awesome progress!0
