How important is the 3:1 rule?

Does the ratio of post-workout nutrition really matter that much? My PWO snacks/meals tend to be equal in both, if not a little higher in protein.

No it doesn't matter. What's important is meeting your daily numbers.0

depends on your goal, I would go a bit more carb heavy for pre-workout so you maximize your lifts, and eat higher protein and fats, with just a little carbs for post-workout meal. If your current diets been working for you, then keep it up, everyones different.
