Hi everyone,
This is my first time doing one of these exersice fourms and i'm not sure where to begine. I'm 26 year old male trying to loose some extra pounds. I've worked out in the past before with my fiancee but it usually only last about 4 months. The reason it only last 4 months is that i loose weight alot quicker than my fiance and it discourage hers. She said she was going to start working out on her own. I'm fine with that. I think the reason why she doesn't loose as much as i do is because she will do the workout, but she doesn't change her eating habits. She will eat the same foods. I'l try to make healthier choices and have smaller portions.
I need some help and motivation. I would love to workout before i go to work but the problem is i would have to get up at 4:15 a.m. Usually when the clock goes off i just turn it off. Does anybody have good idea on how to get past that and actually get up? I plan on using work out dvd's. I going to start with Leslie Sansone's walking dvd's. Once i have some stamina built up and i get in the routine i'm going to switch over to the 30 day shred with Jillian Michaels. Does anyone know of any good exersice dvd's for men? If you do please let me know.

I also am trying to get my workout in before work but that only gets me up at 5:00. I have heard people putting their alarm clock across the room so they have to get up to turn it off. I started getting up at 5:30 until that was easier and then moved it back to five. Now the alarm rings at 4:45. I allow myself to hit the snooze button once and then time to get up.

I found that once I did this for a couple weeks, it was much easier to get up and work out because I don't have the workout lingering over me during the day. I realized that if I was going to stick to my plan and goals, I needed to work out when I could control the time. Too much can come up late afternoon. I also realized that the workouts at night were cutting into valuable time with my kids.

As far as DVD's, I have liked Insanity, P90X and T25. Tony Hortons 10 Minute Trainer is also a nice one for quick workouts. Hope that helps and good luck!
