How to Dance for Beginners

I am the most uncoordinated, unbalanced, un... everything!! I cannot dance. Period. My boyfriend bought my Zumba, I popped it in, stared at it for 5 minutes, and said "There's no way in hell I can do that." Don't tell me to "feel" the rhythm either. That is no help.
So, how do I get started on learning to dance? I want to learn to salsa and cha-cha and all that fun stuff.

Google salsa lessons in your town. You'll get links to dance schools or to clubs that offer a beginner lesson before a night of social dancing starts. Start with a beginner group salsa lesson. You DON'T need a partner to go to classes. At most schools and clubs that I have experience with, the partners "rotate", so everybody dances with everybody. I took my first dance lesson when I was in my mid-50s. Now it's my favorite hobby and I dance multiple nights a week. You can also look for a salsa weekend seminar or take a salsa dance cruise. I've mentioned mostly salsa because cha-cha is less popular and less available in schools and clubs that I'm familiar with.0

See what you do is you put your right foot in you take your right foot out. You put your right foot in and you shake it all about.
You do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around. That's what it's all about.0 -
Yup, take some classes:) I absolutely love salsa and tango, and it will be a great way too for you and your man friend to spend some time together. Nothing says "sexy" like stepping on each other's toes.0

have a glass of wine...or two ;-)
pop in something slow and sexy, close your eyes and let your body do the rest. Do it alone, maybe in the mirror.
If you want to learn real dance moves takes classes or google :-)0
