New to myfitnesspal!

Hi! My name is Kelly and I've been wanting to lose weight now for a while. I say wanting because actually doing something about it versus complaining about it are to totally different things...I'm sure we've all been there! Right now I'm at 164lbs andy goal weight is 130lbs (recently I lost 10lbs on the master cleanse and I don't really recommend it) it was great for a quick 10 pound weight loss in 13 days but I was always hungry, moody and the headaches were awful. Its really not a healthy way to go about weight loss and I quickly gained back some of the weight. I was one of those people who wanted results and wanted them now! I now realize I have to work for it. I have made huge changes in my diet which include limiting my carbs (I love breads, pastas, pastries etc) adding more fresh veggies and protines. Exercising 5 days out of the week and so on. Ok so, enough rambling! I'm looking for some friends and hopefully meet some people who may have some experience with cardio / strength at home, no equipment routines.
Cheers,
Kelly

Yep, like thefeniks said, you have made the decisions.
Don't believe the junk science. Be patient, set your major and minor goals and come here for support. :)

FYI, I started just walking the neighborhood and light weight training. Most any exercise plan can work as long as you are realistic and patient.

    Good luck.

Hi Kelly, I was one of those people who complained about being fat, would start something and do good for a while, but never stuck with it. MFP is the ONLY one I have been consistent with journaling and exercising, and my weight is consistently going down as well. I used to just walk my dogs, but now I walk and run with them so that it will benefit me as well. I also have a stationary bike, mini trampoline and a stepper - all of which I have bought from flea mkt or goodwill.
Journaling my food on this site was SOOO hard for me at first and now, it's a piece of cake (hahaha) Best of luck and add me if you like. Angi
