Have you ever managed to ignore the fact that you are slowly but steadily piling on the kilos. I was starting to feel like there might be a secret part of my that was invincible to weight gain. Unfortunately, I saw a few recent photos of myself and combined that with jumping on the bathroom scales for the first time in a while. Needless to say, I have hit a huge block in my earlier weight loss efforts and I've slipped back to almost where I was two years ago. This is largely to do with the fact that I struggle to say no to food in social settings and find myself eating ALL the sweets.

I'm on this site because I'd really like to join a community of people with the same goals as me and I know that if I don't track what I'm eating then I tend to do a lot of snacking and not of the healthy kind. I'm using a fitbit so anyone who is using one to help track their health and weight loss goals I'd be very keen to hear about how you've used it to best support your goals.

Anyway, I suspect I'll be a member of this site for quite a long time as I really need to change my lifestyle not enforce a quick fix. So hopefully, in the coming months (and years...) I'll get to know some of you a lot better.

Best of luck with your weight loss!

    Hi katherine sent friend request
  • Good Evening,

I see we are very similar. You can feel free to add me as a friend, I open my journal up to those and everyone is able to view my journal for good or bad eating habits (one of which I have right now, which is bad to try and repair my hopefully tore muscle) i'm probably one of the most upbeat people you will meet on the site :).

I am always making puns, having fun while on the site. I really enjoy this process and come gain or loss, i'm still very humble and enjoy making new friends. Feel free to add me and we will become accounabilbudies.

    Regards,
    SSP

  • Honestly, tracking my food on myfitnesspal has absolutely changed my life. I haven't thought about what I'm eating (or more so, how much) in a very long time. Deciding to make the change is a huge step, and we're really all here for the same ultimate goal. I'll send a friend request, good luck!
