Hi everybody, my name is Tugba, and I am back on MFP community going at it full throttle this time.. I am hoping to lose the 45 lbs that I've gained back since starting college. Ideally, I'd like to do this by summer, but it's ok if I won't. After struggling for many yeas to get back in shape, I'm finally beginning to realize that obsessing over weightloss is a ticket to failure, so I am totally ok with a slow but steady progress.
Since I have been known to fall off the wagon many times before, I've decided that this time I'd be accountable to as many people as possible. My first step is to become a part of a large weightloss community, which myfitnesspal is and secondly create a blog soon. To make failure even less of an option, I request that my new friends check in on me from time to time, as I'll do the same. I hate disappointing people.
P.S. It would be really nice to get some MFP friends for additional support!

Hey Tugba << cool name!
Great job on the weight loss so far. I remember I gained A LOT of weight my freshman year of college as well. I was definitely not happy lol. Well you can do this! Take it day by day and you will make it!0 -
If at first you don't succeed, dust yourself off and try again.
I am with you on the "slow and steady" method.0 -

You are absolutely right! Btw, being overweight is a sign of being unhealthy in a way (this, of course, does not mean it's your fault) so if you focus on getting healthier instead of what the scale shows, your weight will gradually drop too. It is a process and believe me, super fast weight loss doesn't do a thing. Not only would you gain it all back but your skin couldn't keep up with the fast changes either. It's good that you've set long-term goals. You seem to be on the right track. Thank you for the encouraging post!0 -
Hi there!
I'm 25 and have been a member since 2012 but have only been most active recently. I struggle with the nagging fly that tries to convince me that skinny is best when I know in the back of my head that healthy, not skinny, is best. I'll add you and we can both help to keep each other motivated, especially with the holidays and cold weather coming up!0 -
