Why are selfies mostly taken in the crapper?

Why are the majority of selfies taken in the crapper? Help me understand this.

    Mine was taken in my kitchen...you don't need a mirror to take a selfie. Plus the lighting in my bathroom sucks *kitten*.

    I wonder this all the time! I have a big mirror in my bedroom (like to be able to see how the clothes looks ya know.....without having to go into the bathroom). Not that I use that-I use a timer.

    It's the only place where I can take a picture of me with a full size mirror.

    Also, my gym prohibits photos from being taken in the locker room, so it's either I sneak one or use the mirror at home.
