I've been doing my fitness pal for 3 woks now. I lost 2.2 the first week and stayed the same the second and went up 1/8 of a pound. I'm getting ver frustrated and ready to throw in the towel. I get very discouraged when I complete my diary at night and it tells me I should be a certain weight in 5 weeks if I keep eating that way. I'm at a loss and need help. I don't need to lose much but want to get this off. I am an active person, I like to walk and I try to run 3 times a week and do aerobics 5 days a week. Please Help.

Hi
Don't give up. There will be a reason why and there are lots of good people on here that can help. I really struggled at first and was not seeing any weight loss but the numbers are slowly moving now.
Open your diary so we can see your food intake
I have recently been told that weight loss is 80% nutrition and 20% exercise so you may be eating more than you think.
Personally I now weigh all my food and track on here. I try to stick to around 1200 calories. If I crave something I have a small amount of it.
I also workout better. My 45-60 minute workout in the morning is intense for me. I am totally exhausted and sweating through.
This combination has worked for me. Not much off the scale but my measurements are coming down which I think is more important.
Don't give up and wait for more experienced advice on here

Whats 1/8 of a pound, like 30grams? My scales don't even measure in increments that small. I wouldn't sweat it.0

You're going to have to be patient. It's only been 3 weeks. You only have 15lbs to lose, it's not going to fall off in a few weeks. Just be sure you're eating less than you burn. Search TDEE, figure that number out, subtract 10-15% from that, and keep your calories under that number.0

Cn you explain what TDEE is. I'm not familiar with this to answer the. Other response 1/8 is probably .2( point 2) that is how my scale shows by .2,.4,.6,&.8) thanks for the suggestions0

Oh yes, be patient. You only have about 15 pounds to lose so you want to lose it slow. I suggest .5 pounds per week.
Do you weight all solid foods and measure al liquids? I ask because cup measurements and scale measurements of solid foods can come out quite differently. For example, 1 tablespoon of almond butter may not be the grams it indicates on the jar. 28 grams of nuts rarely equals 1/4 cup, as it says on the package. In fact, chances are 28 grams of nuts are less than one fourth of a cup.
If you exercise, do you log all your exercise calories in? If you do, beware of both the numbers on MFP and the machines at the gym, as both are overstated (MFP more so than the machines). I know this because I have a heart rate monitor, which is supposed to be pretty accurate.
If you want more specific advice, you'll need to open your diary.0
