Busy mom... Need to make me a priority

Hello,

I just weighed myself.... I have NEVER been this heavy.... 193 pounds and 5' 8". I am so busy at work.... I don't get time to go to the bathroom.... And then I come home and there is the family life to take care off.

I must do better... I am only 40. I know I cannot do this on my own. I must be positive.....

I understand you. I don't work outside the house, but there always seems to be 1,000 things to do and I don't have time to just do something for me because something else takes priority. Good luck in finding "you" time!

Hi, it's nice to meet you. I know what you mean about being busy. For a long time I stayed so busy at work that I ate all my meals in restaurants....really bad idea. I decided I had to make time to do what was best for my health. And I know as a mother, you realize that taking care of yourself is also taking care of your children.
    Good luck...you can do this!!

You can do it! I work full time and have 2 boys, and I sometimes still feel guilty for taking time away from them to work out. But I have decided it has to be a priority. I think they would prefer that I take care of myself now and miss a couple bedtimes a week if it means that I will be around longer and be healthier and more active with them. Feel free to add me if you want encouragement/support from someone with similar concerns.

That is my life :) You can see my profile - 3 kids (19, 14, 6) and full-time 10 hour a day job lol but it can be done and I am proving that! I turn 40 in 11 days ...

I made my time at 4am when the house is quiet and everyone is asleep. It seems to work the best for me and I get my lifting done, shower then wake the kids up :)

Welcome. Feel free to friend me.
Full time job, at-home business, married, two kids 4 and 6 Yes, we understand busy! Never enough time in the day.

I found I Had to workout in the AM before everyone else got up. nothing else works for me, especially since my son has trouble going to sleep at night so 'once the kids are in bed' doesn't work - that is often 10pm.

    We are here to help!

oh yeah, life being a supermom is hard! I work full time, luckily able to do it from home. I have 2 young boys and a wonderful husband that works shift work. I too have found, early mornings is the best time of day to find some me time. It also helps to energize me and start my day off right. You are right, keep positive. You CAN do it.

I hear ya, I felt the same way so I opened up a Busy Mom's Can Still Lose it Group :) We have a goal to lose 15-20 lbs. by New Year's. One of our members already lost 23 lbs in 10 weeks! We have 5 more weeks to go so send me a message if u want me to add you.

It's definitely tough juggling it all. I work from home full time and have 2 boys, one is in daycare/school and one is a 3rd grader who just started basketball. I'm motivated by my other group members who make time to workout so I make it a priority now to get atleast 3-4, sometimes 5, workouts in a week. Even if it's only 20 mins during my lunch break. One thing that has helped me a lot is a Fitbit. It's a small device that keeps track of your steps/stairs/calories burned and also syncs to MyFitnessPal (About $80 from Amazon.com). It gives me a weekly email report of my stats too. Last week I walked 53,000 steps. Now my goal is to hit 60,000 this week :)

We can do this, good luck!!!
