Hey guys
Just thought I'd share this with you all. I used to drink a can (or two) of SUGAR-FREE 'red bull' energy drinks everyday. they have the same caffeine as a cup of coffee. I used to drink coffee as well.
now some say coffee will help you lose weight. and it gave me a boost in the morning, energy in sport. BUT it made me really crave carbs and sugars. I could literally eat a box of cakes or bag of doughnuts no prob.
but since cutting out red bull (still have one or two coffees a day) I've lost about 10lbs in a couple of weeks. my cravings for sugar and carbs have massively gone down. im also sleeping much better - much more deeply, and have actually more energy. oh, and before you say it is all water, I am 10lbs above normal weight - so it is still a fair % of my overall body mass.
so yeah although sugar free energy drinks don't have much calories, it is definitely worth cutting them out to see if this actually helps your hunger and cravings.
my idea is that it may be something to do with it irritating the stomach? or imbalancing the blood sugar? I have no idea though.
