new job - new diet!

I just started working in McDonald's (only full time job I could find, don't judge me), and have found a fantastic new diet!

The 'I work in fast food so can't bear the thought of anything fried' diet! It's working quite well so far, have managed to lose 6 pounds in the month I've worked here, and I'm becoming more creative with my healthier foods I'm eating on days off!

    Hello!!!

I ended up working at Sheetz (if you're not familiar with the company, it's made-to-order quick service food). I also lost a significant amount of weight when I started. It was partly because I worked third shift and slept the day away so there was no time to overeat and partly the amount of moving around I did... and partly not wanting to eat the fried foods! But then I got a new job and started packing on the pounds. I came to a realization last week about my weight and the way I eat and decided I can't stand it anymore. I found this site while working on an article about obesity and decided to join. I couldn't believe how many calories I was actually eating every day until I starting measuring things into reasonable portions. I didn't think it would be enough food to keep me satiated, but it totally is! Despite letting myself go, I have a decent interest in health and I'm very aware of how to lose weight healthily. If you ever have questions, need advice or want some bangin' recipe ideas, add me as a friend and ask away!

P.S. I'm wondering why your name is small furry things. I have a rabbit and some rats so your name intrigues me.... :]
  • No worries about judgment from me, I work at the local circle k, gotta do what we gotta do right? I find three same thing happened to me. I used to love the deli here, but now that I work at the store I just see it so much i'm just like "uuuuuuhhh, not today"
  • Haha, I worked at McDonalds for a year full time and I still hate soft drinks after being allowed them free for every break!
  • FiiMarie, I used to run a rat rescue and just never got rid of the name :-)

The only job you should be ashamed of is the one you don't got. Anything worth doing is worth doing well and it sounds like you are doing great. Keep up the great work.
