When did you adjust your targets?

Hi all!

Just wondering when, if at all, people adjust their macros and targets. I know MFP prompts you to consider doing so after a certain amount lost.

My partner and I both have about 45 kgs to lose, and he was asked about changing after 5 kgs. We're both on roughly 1500 calories daily at the moment, it seems to be working (when we don't drink too much on weekends!), I didn't think it was necessary to adjust so soon.

Would love to know what other people tried and found worked for them!

I have to adjust stuff? ugh. haha Seriously though. Everything seems to be based in percentages. I would imagine small changes after 10% loss would make sense. Scientifically speaking. lol Okay I don't know, but I would like to see what others have to say. Honestly I had to google 45kg because I am a jerk American.

I actually haven't been prompted by MFP to change my goals because I've been doing it on my own. I started out around 1400 calories and the obligatory 2lbs per week, but after reading about BMR and TDEE, I manually upped my calorie goal and have been adjusting ever since.
It's really up to you when or if you want to change your calorie/nutrition goals, but I do think it's important to keep an eye on your deficit. The closer you get to your goal weight, the smaller your deficit should be.
