Hello everybody!
I just joined myfitness pal and I'm soooo excited to finally find a place where I can share my thoughts and daily experiences with other people who are going through the same process that I'm going through. I have recently lost over 25 pounds and my goal is to lose 10 more pounds. This change has been great to me. I feel brand new but the process hasn't been easy and sometimes not all my friends and family understand the determination and effort that takes to transform your body to a healthier one and they tend to question my new lifestyle. I have joined a gym and I exercise 3-4 times a week. I definitely don’t drink anymore and try to eat as healthy as possible and this seems to sometimes bother some of my friends. Sometimes it’s hard to explain the reasons why I do what I do but I’m 100% happy with my accomplishments. I’m happy to be here and be able to share my experiences and daily struggles with all of you!

So glad you joined MFP! You'll love it. I love being able to talk to people everyday that are trying to do the same thing that I'm trying to do. No matter if it's 5lbs or 100. We're all in this together.

I find that with the whole "friends not understanding" thing it's best if you don't talk too much about counting calories, and eating healthy etc., when you're out with them having a good time. People can resent it when you sound like you're pushing your new-found healthy outlook on them. If they ask about it that's different, but if they order a fatty appetizer and you start explaining how many calories and fat grams there are in it, you may lose friends quickly. Just do your thing, be happy with yourself, and let your true friends decide for themselves.0

Oh definitely! Over sharing is never a good idea, but sometimes even like that people like to comment. But certainly my true friends and close family have been very supportive.0
