When logging a protein powder do you just log the powder or what you have it with?

You would log what ever is on the label of the container.
If you have it with milk, log that as well.
I usually have mine with water.0 -
everything with it..
so if I have a scoop of protein powder, half cup of milk, and strawberries, I log all three...0 -
Why would you not log what you had with it?0

This is how your questions sounds to some people.....some people....like me.
When you eat a salad do you log the lettuce only or everything else you have with it too?
When you have soup do you log just the water or everything else you have with it too?0 -

if stuff you didnt log didnt count i would have a jar of peanut butter in my protein shake every day!0 -
Unless you're just mixing it with water, log it all.
I mix mine with almond milk, so I input it as a recipe. Named it protein drink.
If you make shakes with berries or PB or whatever else, you'll need to log it all. It adds up.0 -
I make mine with milk. I log the amount of protein powder I use. Then I log the amount of milk I use. Sometimes I add cocoa powder, and log that too. If you're tracking calories, you need to log the stuff that has calories.0

This would be my question too! I could make one hell of a shake if I didn't have to log anything along with the powder. I'm thinking ice cream, bananas, some extra chocolate syrup, maybe some berries and peanut butter for only 100-200 calories - heck yes! I like where this is going. I think my scale would disagree with this plan though.0 -
I make it with water most of the time. If I made it with milk, I'd count the milk. Count everything.0
