I am almost to my goal weight and I am doing bodyweight exercises along with cardio. Right now doing the 30DS. I want to see results from the people who got results without doing heavy lifting and only bodyweight training. I am not against lifting but I just cannot afford to do it now. Hence sticking to bodyweight exercises so get a more toned look while I lose the last bit of weight.. Show me!! Thanks in advance.

I only do bodyweight training. Pull-ups, push-ups, handstands, lunge walking, glute bridges, planks, burpees, etc. I love working out outside and trying to improve my skills. You can see comparison pictures in my profile after losing around 10 pounds. I still have work to do on losing more fat, but I think I have maintained a pretty decent muscle mass. My arms are currently a lot more defined than in those pics. I'm going to take some more pictures after I manage my holiday bloat.0

See profile pic. I do bodyweight exercises along with some light baby lifting, hehe. That's right, I use my 20-pound baby for workouts.
ETA: For me, it's more of a convenience thing than a cost thing. I do bodyweight exercises because I can do them anywhere. My office, the living room, in between making dinner, wherever.0 -
I'm not a bodyweight purist, I do use DB's to help weight pistol squats, and occasionally have used them/ankle weights/weight vest to weight pullups and dips, but by and large most of my strength training was and is done with bodyweight.
After losing the fat, I've been bulking/cutting (about to start cutting after the 3rd bulk), and have gained about 20 lbs muscle mass in the process while getting leaner (not at the same time).
I do an upper/lower split, 4x a week (2x each)

Current:
Some recent "action" shots:
One Arm Wall Handstand and Plyometric Pistol Squat
Bodyweight strength training is NOT a limitation, it is every bit as effective as any other mode of strength training. However doing exercises to endless reps is not strength training, you always need a to progressively increase the resistance. With bodyweight training that means continuously moving on to more difficult exercise variations.0 -
HAHA whoops... missed the bodyweight part.... sorry :blushing:0

<<<< I haven't lifted in a gym in probably 7 years. For a while I did no lifting at all. I'm about a year & a half of body weight only stiff, with probably the 1st half of the purely expirementing until I got a better grip on how to progress and what to stick with.0

I use dumbbells to add resistance for compound movements sometimes, but other that just bodyweight.0

Left side is results from body weight exercises, no weights. I do full body, core, legs and butt work outs. 3 months difference from right to left!0 -
Wow!! Amazing results and hard work! It's also amazing how much can be "judged" from each picture. In the first pictures, "lazy" and "slob" come to mind, but the other pictures "hard working", and "disciplined" come to mind. It's amazing how appearance can change how we perceive someone.0
